In the process of healing, growing and learning to meet my inner child's needs I have taken to using writing prompts to get me started. I found this prompt very difficult to answer with honestly--that is how I know it was needed in my journey of growth. I'm sharing the prompt and my response here, because, again, part of my growth is no longer keeping all of this inside -- I really don't care what it makes me look like on the outside. This is raw healing in progress.

Prompt: "If I could give you one thing it would be..."

If I could give you one thing It would be assurance — That you will always be enough.

Every day you face the world, you give your all. And sometimes, your all might not be enough — But that’s alright. You aren’t a bad person because of that.

The one thing you’ve always had is strength, A silent resolve that carries you through. And though at times you’ll feel small, unheard, You are breaking chains — Ending a curse generations deep.
